ACTIVITY DAY

As much fun as golf is, it would be a shame not to experience everything else that Cape Town has to offer. We've put together suggestions for Activity Days below, but if you have other ideas as a group, we'll build just the kind of Activity Day you want.  The Activity Day always includes transport, the activity itself and a top notch lunch.

WINE & DINE

We head for a wine tour in the Stellenboch area. We visit three different vineyards where we taste the best wines from each farm. During the day we will have lunch at the spectacular Delaire Graff winery and at the last winery we will also enjoy chocolate tastings. Return to the house at about 6 p.m.

CAPE OF GOOD HOPE

We leave in the morning for the Cape of Good Hope, around which Bartolomeu Dias first sailed in 1488. On the way back, we have lunch in Simon's Town, where we get to admire the penguins of Boulders Beach. Our return route takes us through Chapman’s Peak, one of the most scenic roads in the world. We will return to the house at about 5 p.m.

UPSIDE DOWN

We leave early in the morning towards Smalblaar canyon. Upstream of the canyon, professional guides go through safety issues, after which we start kloofing down the canyon. During the day, we make six descents on ropes, often along waterfalls. During the day we will have a picnic lunch and take a refreshing dip in nature’s own swimming pool. We will return to the house at about 6 p.m.

MEET THE LOCALS

We leave in the morning towards Langa Township. We take an unforgettable guided tour amongst the locals, where residents share about their lives in Langa. After this, we move to the Bo Kaap area, where we get to know the culture of Cape Malay and make local food together. We will return to the house at about 5 p.m.

HORSE RIDING & WINE

We leave for a riding trip in the morning. We chose the place based on your preferences and riding level, either on a white sandy beach or in a flush vineyard terrain. We ride for 3 hours, after which we eat a delicious lunch and sample some local wines. We will return to the house at about 4 p.m.

ON TOP OF THE WORLD

We take the cable car to Table Mountain right from the morning, where we can admire the scenery from the heights. The journey continues to the V&A Waterfront, where we will have sushi lunch. After lunch, we board a helicopter, where we can enjoy Cape Town from the air. We will return to the house at about 4:30 p.m.

HANG LOOSE

In the morning we head to the beach of Muizenberg, where a surf teacher will guide us how to surf. After this, we will have lunch at the excellent restaurant Harbor House in Kalk Bay. After lunch, we explore the bohemian boutiques of Kalk Bay and end the day at the Cape to Cuba Bar with mojitos. We will return to the house at about 5 p.m.

SOUTH AFRICAN HISTORY

In the morning we drive to the ferry that will take us to Robben Island , where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years. On the island  we are guided by a former prisoner on the island who talks about the daily life of the prisoners with a personal touch. Back in Cape Town we enjoyed lunch, after which we visit the District Six Museum. We will return to the house at about 5 p.m.

IT'S ART!

We drive to the vibrant neighborhood of Woodstock where we get to learn about street art in a guided Street Art tour. After the tour, we visit the boutiques in Woodstock, where you can buy African art. We head to Hout Bay for lunch, where we also explore two local art galleries. At the end of the day, we enjoyed a gin tasting at Hout Bay Harbor. We will return to the house at about 5 p.m.
